Nihilism isn’t the absence of framework—it’s a defensive architecture installed after collapse, protecting you from future losses by preemptively declaring all meaning empty. The suffering you feel isn’t proof nothing matters; it’s unmetabolized grief from something that mattered deeply, held in place by a framework that won’t let you feel it fully.

The loop isn’t a malfunction—it’s your framework desperately trying to solve an unsolvable problem, defending a core belief about who you are from a threat that exists not in the thought’s content, but in the possibility that the framework itself might be wrong.

Meditation trains you to peacefully observe suffering’s output while the underlying framework generating it remains fully intact—dissolution requires turning directly toward that architecture and seeing it completely until the grip releases on its own.

Medication can make the cage more comfortable, but it cannot show you the cage—it addresses the neurochemistry of suffering without touching the framework of beliefs that generates it in the first place.

Intrusive thoughts persist not because of their content, but because of the framework wrapped around them—the meaning-making, identity threat, and resistance that turns a passing thought into a cage. The thought itself isn’t the problem; your relationship to it is.
